Avidly Appoints New Leadership to Propel Global Growth

Avidly, a prominent player in the marketing technology sector, is thrilled to announce two key leadership appointments aimed at further accelerating its global expansion and enhancing its core business. Joakim Fagerbakk has been named the new CEO of Avidly and Maria Flemmich Suominen will lead Avidly Design in Finland, as its CEO.

This strategic move comes on the heels of a remarkable phase of growth and achievement for Avidly. Under the leadership of the former CEO, Jesse Maula, the company transformed from a European entity into a global powerhouse, more than doubling its revenue and significantly increasing its size. Avidly cemented its status as the number-one HubSpot partner globally while expanding into five new markets, culminating in the successful transition from a public to a private entity.

Reflecting on his time at Avidly, Jesse remarks: "Here, I've had the opportunity to get to know fantastic people who are both highly professional and a pleasure to work with. I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved together, from doubling our revenue and executing a successful turnaround, to elevating our brand and maintaining our position as the number-one HubSpot partner. It has been a journey filled with countless meaningful moments and many prestigious awards."

Maria Flemmich Suominen, former COO and now at the helm of Avidly Finland, expresses her enthusiasm for the new role: "I am honored to lead Avidly Finland. Our growth on the global stage is a testament to our innovative use of creativity, AI and marketing technologies, and I am committed to further strengthening and expanding our core business here in Finland - and also globally in co-operation with our other countries.”

Since joining Avidly in 2018, Maria Flemmich Suominen has contributed to Avidly’s success in various roles, showcasing her versatility and dedication. In addition to her role as COO, she has worked in Avidly as Head of Operations, Head of International Sales and Sales Director. Since 2022, she has also been a board member of AMIN Worldwide.

Joakim Fagerbakk, the newly appointed CEO of Avidly has a strong international background in digital marketing. As a co-founder of Inbound Norway  - which later became a part of Avidly - and a board member of many growth companies, he highlights the strategic priorities ahead: "Change is a constant, and our focus on international growth is paramount. While the HubSpot market has consistently grown at roughly 20% year-over-year, Avidly must sharpen its focus and execution to capitalize on this trend. Empowering our organization to be more agile will be crucial as we drive forward. This is even more relevant now that we enter the US market. The demand for technical consultancy and scalable services within the HubSpot ecosystem is growing rapidly, and we are committed to not only leading globally but excelling locally. Our goal for the Finnish creative digital agency sector is to secure a top-three position as we leverage our international focus and innovative messaging. "

Jesse's sentiment of gratitude and goodwill echoes as he moves on: "I will carry many great memories from this unique journey, but I appreciate the people most.”
“As our organization continues to evolve, I am grateful to Jesse, and I really look forward to working together with Joakim & Maria, driving our organisation forward”, states John-Matias Uuttana, Avidly’s Chairman of the board.
